August 19, 2020 French Disco & synth-pop band Le Couleur announce online album launch

French Disco & synth-pop band Le Couleur announce online album launch

After several concerts being canceled due to the global pandemic, disco and synth-pop band Le Couleur will be performing a virtual concert for all of their fans across the globe to enjoy. The concert will take place on the 17th of September to celebrate their forthcoming album release Concorde. Currently sitting over 10.9 million streams across multiple music streaming platforms, no wonder they have won the GAMIQ prize for the ‘Best Electronic EP of the Year’, their previous album release was also one of the 40 Canadian albums to selected to feature on the Polaris Music Long List.

The new album is inspired by the rise and fall of the historic Concorde event. The band is rooted in 70’s influence, from psychedelia, disco, yéyé and French chanson. I am sure that Le Couleur’s new album will easily be mistaken for a masterpiece that was created in the 70’s period.

Tune into the Le Couleur concert on Thursday, September 17th at 9pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)

August 19, 2020 Alternative musician Harmer Jays releases song ‘Double Vision’

Alternative musician Harmer Jays releases song ‘Double Vision’

Double Vision pinpoints the emotions felt through relationship dependencies, juxtaposed with a somber yet upbeat arrangement. The track conjures up the atmosphere felt when experiencing a temporary escape from reality, followed by the realisation that you don’t have that all-important ‘other’ to depend on. With lyrical complexity reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, somber vocal styling and vibrato comparable to that of Jeff Buckley and James Blake, Double Vision expresses emotional loss with a longing vision for a better future.

By combining heartfelt lyrical delivery with modern musical digressions, Harmer creates a sometimes surprising, yet completely effective and relatable resonance. In true Harmer Jays style, this is all done with a hauntingly beautiful topline, engineered and produced alongside long-time friend and producer, Taran Stormes Martino.

Harmer Jay’s personality resonates through his music, quirky social media presence, and poignant, eerie live performances. His music is subconsciously conceptualised and organically untied to genre labels and his energy and presence are as infectious as his 90s mismatched fashion is endearing.

Following the release of ‘Double Vision’ Harmer Jays will be completing his debut EP in September with the release of ‘Smile (To Decorum)’. Harmer is armed with a brand new live set and looks forward to debuting it on a series of tour dates (yet to be announced) for 2021.

August 17, 2020 Music producer Franky Wah releases new house song ‘Come Together’

Music producer Franky Wah releases new house song ‘Come Together’

In a time of global uncertainty, Franky Wah shares the euphoric and hopeful ‘Come Together’, his first single release of 2020 which is out today.

A breakbeat twist on the classic UK house sound, ‘Come Together’ pairs hands-in-the-air piano chords with irresistible female vocals and atmospheric drums – delivering carefree vibes with a strong message of unity to encourage and uplift people during this difficult global situation.

Talking on the single, Franky Wah explains: “I wrote this record at the end of summer 2019 inspired by one of the best summers of my life touring and playing all over the world. I wanted to capture the essence of the 90s and put a modern take on it, and the minute I found those piano chords I really felt I was onto something.” He adds: “I think given the global crisis we’re going through at minute this record couldn’t be more fitting, and I hope everyone resonates with this like I do.”
