With each subsequent release, AIR APPARENT continues to showcase his versatility and dexterity as a producer. Pulling inspiration from a number of genres, AIR APPARENT has a knack for blending musical elements to deliver unparalleled tracks. Following his recent single ‘Cosmos’, the California-based producer returns to deliver another jubilant electro-pop track, ‘Dance’. Straddling the lines between pop and dance music, AIR APPARENT’s latest single ‘Dance’ features a lush and bubbly soundscape that immediately captures the listener’s attention. Opening with a light-hearted melody, the track floods with captivating vocals before cascading into a disco-reminiscent soundscape. Designed with the dancefloor in mind, ‘Dance’ lures the listener to find release and nostalgia throughout the three-and-a-half minutes of the track. AIR APPARENT effortlessly fuses elements of bubbly pop music with a groovy bassline, offering a refreshingly unique sonic expression.
“*My friend Lulu and I wrote this song together about the experience of meeting someone in a club, having no idea who they are, and not knowing what to say – but hoping to dance the nervousness away. It came from specific experiences we had both had but chosen never to act on. So in a way, it’s a projection of what we’ve both wanted to do having been in that situation. On a more abstract level, it’s a song about dancing your fears away. Dancing alone or with my girlfriend alone in my room has been a therapeutic escape during quarantine.I want people to know that sometimes it’s easy to get caught in your own head with anxiety and nervousness. But it’s possible to break out of it and physically pry yourself out of your own head by trying something fun, like starting to dance! “- AIR APPARENT

Complementing the new single, “Blood Bayou” arrives with a hypnotic animated video as created by visual artist Micah Buzan. Watch the video: https://youtu.be/D3VYDbUyNcQ
As dense, swampy and enveloping in sound as the southern-American marshland for which it owes its name, “Blood Bayou” finds the Sheffield-based producer coalescing myriad influences with Frankensteinian aplomb. As Freud says:
“This is talking about how love is never clean and is often messy with casualties. Yet it can be full of interesting things as a Bayou swamp can be…”
Steadily making his name in the electronic underground with a number of innovative creations already coined “Electrodub” by some, listeners will find references to dubstep, 2-step garage, bassline, reggae and more on this latest single. From Ruby Tingle’s haunting Ennio Morricone-esque whistle in its opening bars that lull like a siren song, to the burbling synth-driven soundscapes that subsume and intoxicate beyond, Dirty Freud delivers a bewitching new cut to lose yourself in over repeated plays. In typical Dirty Freud fashion, a heavy Electro-inspired production catalyses a second drop unafraid to pack a punch…
Dirty Freud is an electronic live & recording artist from London, but has found success since moving to the North of England. Impressing respected DJs such as Jon More (of Cold Cut), DJ Krush, and Dave Haslam early on his career with his cutting edge remixes and productions; word began to spread throughout the music world, with Dirty Freud’s distinct touch soon sought-after by established artists including Leeroy Thornhill of The Prodigy, Scott Garcia, Willy Mason, Big Narstie, Pixie Lott, and even Iggy Pop.
With a string of remarkable original productions already under his belt (including widely acclaimed 2018 EP: ‘Boxing with God’), Freud has been supported at radio by stations including BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio 6, whilst receiving media praise from The Guardian, DJ Mag, and MixMag, who proclaimed him to be: “The Unruly Prince of Electronica”. In true recognition of his trailblazing work, Dirty Freud also scooped ‘Best New DJ’ and ‘Best New Producer’ at the prestigious Bass Movement Awards. Last year proved a benchmark year for Dirty Freud as his sound was given even bigger stages to flourish, with sets at Glastonbury, All Points East, Citadel, Boomtown, Beatherder, as well as internationally in countries like Germany, Croatia and France.
In 2020, Dirty Freud returns focus to the studio as he readies a new EP: ‘Love In The Backwater’ this Winter. Written and inspired by multiple locations, from the infamous Tresor and Hansa Studios of Berlin, to Spirit Studios and Blueprint Studios in Manchester, to the legendary Yellow Arch Studios in Freud’s hometown of Sheffield; the EP was eventually finalised in lockdown and palpably walks a tightrope of lockdown claustrophobia and the exhilaration of club escapism. Inspired by some of life’s most impactful moments, from bitter break ups (“Blood Bayou”) to surviving a pandemic (“Love In The Backwater”); to taking a carpe diem attitude to life (“Intentions”) and examining the enduring effect of split second choices (“Moments”); Dirty Freud wields his experiences and forges them into an exhilarating new release definitive of the artist.
Singer-songwriter Margot has shared her new single ‘Slow Down’ and it is sure to make you feel better if you suffering from a case of the blues, or a little stress. The single will feature on her debut EP release Make It Last, which is set to be released on the 9th of October.
POP Music adds, “Margot eases her listeners into her important message of self-love with gentle and lighthearted beats and vocals.”
The new single is intended to make you feel lighter, in Margot’s own words, “This song actually went through a long writing process. Frank Slimm and I started this one in April 2019 while I was still living in Berlin and it got shelved for months while we were working on other projects. When we dug it out again, I couldn’t believe we left it for so long! I drafted up a new set of lyrics and it all fell together in about two days. The song itself is about self-care and self-love, taking time out of the day to look after yourself and enjoy the little things, and to remind myself that the time I spend working on myself is just as important as the time I spend working on my career.”
With fragrant sounds and soaring vocals, Margot calms your world down for the next three minutes leaving the listener to hit the repeat function over and over again.
