Leon Seti shares delectable electro-pop track ‘And Im Gone’

Italian born, Amsterdam based Leon Seti is the musical act of Leo Baldi. The eclectic artist shared his single ‘And Im Gone’ on the 22nd of October 2022, taken from his innovative album Grimoire. His retro-filled yet experimental electro-pop has been played by the BBC Introducing and featured on Billboard Italy and he’s also received support from CLASH, with his album COBALT reaching #1 on the iTunes Electronic Chart in Italy. Seti’s second album was equally impressive, released to rave reviews it reached #1 on the iTunes Electronic Chart in Italy and the Netherlands, while simultaneously cementing itself in the iTunes Top 10 of general sales in both countries. In addition to this, Leon Seti has appeared at venues such as The O2 Academy Islington and The Spice of Life in London, historic clubs like Spin Time Labs in Rome and Il Cassero in Bologna and at festivals such as Mengo Fest and Pride in Amsterdam.

‘And Im Gone’ is a beautiful blend of electro-pop production and emotionally charged vocals. Enchanting and introspective, It’s a phantasmal collection of Seti’s thoughts, dreams and desires, with a toxic-love at the forefront of the message. Using his voice as his main weapon, Seti wears his heart on his sleeve, inviting the listener to step into his world and resonate with his lyrics and emotive vocals. Reminiscent of artists such as BANKS, Bjork and Imogen Heap, ‘And Im Gone’ is loaded with luscious vocal harmonies and layers.

Leon Seti had this to say: “‘And I’m Gone’, specifically, is a song about wanting to escape from a place of dread and solitude, and even though I talk like I’ve already left, it was actually written while I was living in London and wanting to escape a toxic relationship.“

Marlena Dae Shares Delicate Single ‘No Place To Hide’

New York-born, Berlin-based musician Marlena Dae has released ‘No Place To Hide’, the lead single from her debut EP entitled A Delicate Storm via the Good Luck Kid imprint.

The song narrates the story of a girl wandering the streets alone at night desperate to escape the reality she lives in and it’s a stunning introduction to the songstress’ talent and ability to make music that drifts over you in waves.

Marlena Dae says, “I feel I can relate to this longing for freedom in ‘No Place To Hide.’ Trying to escape one’s reality was definitely a topic for me at the time during quarantine. I feel for this main character who is aware of the dangers that lurk around her, yet she is determined to get to where she needs to be.”

UK musician Natalie Shay unveils new video

Natalie Shay is a critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning musician known for her explosive live performances and vibrant, infectious anthems. The North London artist writes relatable lyrics touching on love, self-discovery and the everyday experiences of a twenty-something. At her core, she’s a remarkable storyteller, one that continues to break boundaries and trailblaze into her own realm of indie pop from the soul.

Her latest single ‘The Edge’ is about the painful breakdown and complete blow up of Shay’s friendship with her best friend. The songwriter confides, “This is one of my favourite songs I’ve ever released, and as the feelings are still very raw, I’m hoping to find closure in this.”

Accompanied by its B-side “everything’s been happening,” the two tracks tell the story of how once you finally come out of something that had grown bad for you, you reflect and realise so many cracks showed long before you accepted that as the case. Shay reveals, “Despite missing her and the good parts of the friendship so much, I know in order to still respect myself, I have to honour the power of an apology, and in this case, the lack there of one.”

Both tracks voice the understanding of the power that someone’s dream can hold over their well-being and happiness. Shay admits, “I am guilty of this myself, a lot of my mental health, personality and entire identity are completely wrapped up in my work. This is the same for a lot of creatives and people with a dream or goal from a young age in general. On realisation that these goals may not happen the way you’d always planned, or realising things are going to be much harder than you ever expected, this can cause trouble for some people who lack the courage. I think me and my friend are guilty of this, and subsequently this triggered the downfall.”

Staying true to her irresistible indie pop sound, “The Edge” shines with kaleidoscopic synths, a contagious beat and energetic melodies. Despite the song’s melancholy theme, sonically it’s the ultimate get-up-and-dance track, allowing you to lose yourself in the music.

Having received praise from notable publications such as Billboard, Clash, NOTION, Wonderland Magazine and The Line of Best Fit to name a few, Shay is on everyone’s radar. She has landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in 12 countries and has also worked on EDM tracks with the likes of Grum and Kryder, racking up over seven million streams to date. Musician Nathalie Shay announces the release of her anticipated EP

Natalie Shay is an indie-pop artist hailing from North London. The multi-award-winning musician has established an ever-growing presence and loyal fanbase through her explosive live performances and unforgettable anthems, recognising her as one of the UK’s hottest emerging talents. With indie synth pop leanings and ferocious guitar playing, Shay’s references range from Haim and Taylor Swift to Little Comets. Her relatable lyrics touch on love, self-discovery and the everyday experiences of a twenty-something.

Combining her youthful and charismatic aura with her classical training and time spent at the prestigious BRIT School, Shay has finessed the ability to produce undeniably catchy music, whilst maintaining musical maturity.
