Agoria unveils powerful short film to ‘Embrace the World’ directed by the award-winning Jessy Moussallem

Directed by Lebanese filmmaker Jessy Moussallem, the mastermind behind ‘Heart of Sky’, Agoria has unveiled a captivating short-film for his latest single, ‘Embrace.’ The poignant video deals with the militarization of the human mind, capturing soldiers passing their days training in an isolated setting.

Famed for her directing of indie rock band Mashrou’ Leila – a narrative that included one hundred women in an ode to the strength and grace of Arab women – Jessy Moussallem was awarded the Young Director award at Cannes Lions. The video became Number 1 trending on YouTube and went on to be nominated at the UKMV. An example of the emerging ‘Drift’ genre, a movement expressing freedom in musical taste, ‘Embrace’ expresses a new side to Agoria’s creative output. Laced with Phoebe Killdeer’s haunting lyrics,‘Embrace’ showcases Agoria’s talent for creating deep, stripped-back, stirring melodies. The single comes with a much-hyped Black Coffee & Aquatone remix.

LA-based electro-pop, neo-soul producers RKCB deliver a shimmering heartfelt music video for ‘Alone With You Pt. 2’

LA-based production duo RKCB, comprised of Riley Knapp and Casey Barth, whose alchemic sound fuses neo-soul, modern electronic R&B and dreamy synth-pop with avant-garde lyrics, resulting in an unparalleled sound. Accomplished producers and songwriters in their own right, having worked w/ Tinashe, Julia Michaels, Kacy Hill & more (along eclipsing 100 million Spotify streams to their name alone), RKCB is poised to have a break-out year all their own in 2019.

Their new single “Know Love” came out last week via AllPoints (Believe’s in-house label), which is the final new music the duo’s releasing this side of the year (stay tuned for some big news early next year!).

After spending the majority of 2018 in seclusion in the studio, RKCB returned to the spotlight in October with the release of “Alone With You Pt. 2” and its gorgeous music video, the acclaimed follow-up to their 2017 single “Alone, With You”. “Know Love” draws upon the moody aesthetic set forth on “Alone With You Pt. 2” and adds in the duo’s modern production techniques to include warm synth lines and heart-pounding percussion that wash over the listener, while RKCB’s impassioned vocals elevate the track to exorbitant levels.

Russian musician Vincent Barrea reveals dynamic music video

Russian vocalist and producer Vincent Barrea has just released his latest track, ‘Chemical Or Love’ on 31 October via Maitre Music. Fast on its tail came the music video, already amassing hundreds of thousands of views within the few weeks of its release.

In an interview on E-D-M, Barrea described the difficult filming process that was behind the impactful video however, he makes it clear that he always had complete confidence in his director. “I completely trust Tata, if she believes that it is necessary to do this, I am ready to freeze, burn in the fire, swim across the Lamansh, rob a bank, walk on a tightrope between skyscrapers, anything for her. Moreover, they are always clearly responsible for safety on the set, so I was totally calm.” You can read the full interview here

We’re comforted by the idea that Barrea displayed such trust in Tata Belinina as the results simply would not be the same without her high-risk ideas. Almost battling the elements, both fire and water are proudly displayed, mirroring the internal conflict that drives the track. We’re looking forward to seeing what Barrea and Belinina think up for their next collaboration.

Canadian singer William Prince announces brand new album ‘Reliever’

William Prince has announced his second album Reliever, due for release on February 7th via Glassnote Records.

Dave Cobb and Scott Nolan produced Reliever, a record that showcases Prince as a powerful vocalist and inspirational writer with musical influences ranging from his musician and preacher father to Kris Kristofferson and Charley Pride. It’s the second album for the Juno Award-winning songwriter and performer.

Prince had planned a career as a doctor before turning to music, and the album title expresses his dedication to providing relief and comfort to his listeners. “These songs were born in a time of great challenge,” he says. “Where these songs sound hopeless, let them be a testament to resilience. When they move slow, it is for better observation of the lesson at hand. Where they sound joyous and confident, picture the light breaking like the dawn, just after it was darkest.”

Reliever’s lead track is the inspirational ‘The Spark’, which promises “Don’t be afraid of the fire…I’d never let you burn.”

“The Spark details hope in finding someone who lights you up amidst the darkness you may feel. True love can burn so bright when it finds its spark,” says Prince. “A spark can save you amidst the cold and bring salvation from its warmth.”

Prince goes on to talk about the album’s message:

“Reliever is a series of pieces for healing. Alleviation. As the definition states, something that allows for relief from pain, discomfort or distress…Reliever takes aim at the moments where we as human beings feel we aren’t enough.” Prince says, “Pain doesn’t have to define us…Thankfully there are many things that can combat it” – and with Reliever, it indeed becomes one of those things.

Reliever fulfills the promises of William Prince’s earlier recordings and performances, which have earned him Juno Awards (for Contemporary Roots Album and Indigenous Music Album) and raves for his appearances at Stagecoach, and AmericanaFest. Prince’s trajectory from Peguis First Nation in Manitoba, Canada, to opening for Neil Young, has seen the relative newcomer find esteem and career-changing opportunity wherever he performs.

Prince was recently confirmed as opener for songwriter Yola’s upcoming UK tour (dates below).
