Electronic pop duo Polo & Pan share lighthearted music video

Parisian eclectic pop dance duo Polo & Pan release their first new song of the year titled Ani Kuni’ with a lighthearted animated video. Having amassed nearly half a billion worldwide streams, the new track comes 10 months after the release of their four-track Feel Good EP which was called “a dose of exploratory sunshine.” ‘Ani Kuni’ is a bright, head-nodding dance track that acts as a tribute to a timeless, globally appreciated children’s song and is the perfect start to 2021’s forthcoming summer season.

“’Ani Kuni’ is a playful dance track for children big and small. It’s a tribute to our favourite childhood lullaby, a timeless Native-American song that has touched generation after generation, all around the world,” say Polo & Pan of the song.

The animated video was inspired by children’s shows like Sesame Street with a dash of Yellow Submarine. The video’s artistic direction was led by Noemi Ferst & Benjamin Moreau, who have worked with the band since day one, creating their entire visual universe. The animation for ‘Ani Kuni’ was created with the help of Paris’ Werlen Meyer Studios, who also worked on Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs. Combined, the song and video turn the band’s personal favourite lullaby into an irresistible, hope-filled, 70’s bopping trip for all ages that is sure to put you in your happy place.

With just one full-length album (2017’s Caravelle) to their name, Polo & Pan have become synonymous with trippy dance tracks that carry equally dreamy melodies.  The duo, consisting of Paul Armand-Delille (Polo) and Alexandre Grynszpan (Pan), first met in 2012 and have since been creating fans around the globe performing to sold-out crowds at notable venues like LA’s Novo, London’s Printworks, NY’s Terminal 5, and Montreal’s MTELUS. They’ve played numerous festival stages such as 2019’s Coachella, where Billboard called their performance “without a doubt one of the best performances.”

“Ani Kuni” is just a tip of their hand for what’s to come from the band that Le Monde taps as “Daft Punk’s successors.”

May 10, 2021 Chillwave music producer ford. Shared stripped-down piano performance video

Chillwave music producer ford. Shared stripped-down piano performance video

Grammy-nominated indie-electronic music producer ford. has unveiled a new ‘Bedroom Reprise’ version of his track ‘4:38am’, featuring Brooklyn based artist Barrie, out now.

Combining delicate piano chords with Barrie’s hushed vocals, the Bedroom Reprise’ version of ‘4:38am’ is a sparse, stripped-back take that further accentuates the track’s understated beauty. The touching accompanying video sees the pair performing the track in two separate locations in the confines of a warmly-lit studio and bedroom. First appearing on ford.’s acclaimed recent album The Color of Nothing, the original has already amassed more than 4 million Spotify streams.

‘4:38am’ (Bedroom Reprise) is the first release from ford.’s forthcoming companion package, The Color of Nothing (Reprise). Out May 18th, the new package includes five remixes, two new stripped-back versions and two brand-new tracks “thursday drive” and mid-day [Focus Piece]”.

“I’ve always found a sense of peace and solace when working late at night,” ford. explains. “It allows me to cultivate this state of constant motivation when writing music that only exists in those hours. I wanted to do an acoustic for 4:38am as a way to provide a different perspective on the song and strip it down to its bare essentials in the same way that working in those late hours strips back my inhibitions when writing music.

He continues: “I remember building out this version soon after the album dropped and sending it off to Barrie to see if she was interested in the idea. She sent back some new vocals that felt even more intimate and personal than the original. A couple months later I drove out to LA for a road trip and ended up filming the piano parts, while Barrie filmed her parts in NY.”

At just 21 years of age, ford. has caught the attention as one of the brightest crossover stars with major streaming hits such as “Bedford Falls” and “Craving.”  He’s also produced remixes for major acts including Bearson, Ashe and Kasbo – resulting in a colossal 55 million streams and over one million monthly listeners. The producer extraordinaire has been championed by major tastemakers including Billboard, Complex, Dancing Astronaut, UPROXX, FAULT,  and Acid Stag. He’s landed a coveted Coachella set and in-demand tours with some of the biggest names on the scene including Madeon, Jai Wolf and Maribou State. He also received a Grammy nomination for his remix of Mild Minds’ “SWIM”.

The first release from ford.’s forthcoming project, the ‘Bedroom Reprise’ version of ‘4:38am’ perfectly captures the beauty of the young artist’s music. This fall, ford. will have two co-headliner shows with Elderbrook in Vancouver and Seattle, along with a slot at Life Is Beautiful, and more US shows to be announced soon.

Music production team Sofia Insua & Mirza Ramic a.k.a. ERA C have unveiled their latest avant-pop gem ‘0-60mph’, and we are mesmerized. This release will feature on their upcoming debut album release DELIRIA via Future Archive Recordings. In the meantime, while we wait in anticipation for this album release, you can lose yourself in the spellbinding tension of this latest gem that Easy Easy frontwoman Sofia takes full reign over as an enigmatic songbird.

Stream/Download ‘0-60 mph’ single

Speaking about the upcoming album release with Reverbs (read interview), Sofia shared : “The overall concept of DELIRIA was dictated by its context. It was written during periods of change, transition and adaptation. The album is about distance and its sneaky way of censoring the heart, by preventing it from feeling.”

Pre-save DELIRIA LP

‘0-60 mph’ definitely by far is the best description of Sofia’s inspiration behind the album’s name, in terms of the timing of your life’s biggest challenges/victories and how things do not always go according to plan. Through strategic pacing and effects that mimic the sound of analogue time, always moving in the background. This track subconsciously leaves one to think of the progression of time and how your reality can change in the blink of an eye.
