Belau is one of the most promising electronica newcomers around the European music scene. In three years, they had almost 200 live performances in 23 countries. The debut LP, “The Odyssey” won the Hungarian Grammy in best electronic music album category. After their long-awaited sophomore album, titled Colourwave, they release a breathtaking music video plus a mystic night version for “Risk It All” featured Amahla.

“Take You to The Sea” – claims about their compositions. Belau (Peter Kedves and Krisztian Buzas) is a band who tries to provide shelter for the modern human through their music – representing the path to self-awareness through the depth of the individual – by making modern and elegant electronic beats with longing lyrics driven for the solace of the mind. Forever inspired by the fundamental elements of the nature, especially the infinite sea.

The duo had many international successes. In the last years they played almost 200 shows in 23 countries and impressed audiences at renowned festivals like Primavera, Eurosonic, Electric Castle, Sziget, SXSW – to name just a few. Belau was supported by radios like BBC Radio 1 or KEXP and mediums like Clash Music, Billboard, The Line of Best Fit, or Ones to Watch. Their first album won the Hungarian Grammy Award, Belau reached one million streams with earlier releases.

Colourwave which got many great reviews, feedbacks, keeps providing shelter for the modern human through music, where listeners can sink to themselves and their thoughts. “Risk It All” is a song of the possibility. One of our favourite track from the new album. Before the release in February we shot a video for it around some breathtaking European sights. In April of 2021 we would like to release the Deluxe version of Colourwave with some remixes, live sessions, reimagined versions, and a new song. The first tune from it is the night version of Risk It All, which is more mystic, minimal, and darker than the original” – said Belau about the new releases featured the fresh The Ivors Academy Rising Star nominee, Amahala.

Due to COVID 19 crisis Hungary’s No.1 musical export good, Belau had to reschedule their album release tour, which hopefully will start around Autumn. You can always find all the updated information about the new dates or the special splatter vinyl release on their social pages.

*My friend Lulu and I wrote this song together about the experience of meeting someone in a club, having no idea who they are, and not knowing what to say – but hoping to dance the nervousness away. It came from specific experiences we had both had but chosen never to act on. So in a way, it’s a projection of what we’ve both wanted to do having been in that situation. On a more abstract level, it’s a song about dancing your fears away. Dancing alone or with my girlfriend alone in my room has been a therapeutic escape during quarantine.I want people to know that sometimes it’s easy to get caught in your own head with anxiety and nervousness. But it’s possible to break out of it and physically pry yourself out of your own head by trying something fun, like starting to dance! “- AIR APPARENT

Synthpop singer Gregory Dillon releases debut EP, Sad magic

After three single releases in 2020, Sad Magic is the first EP for queer pop artist Gregory Dillon. Reaching 1m+ Spotify streams across his catalog, Gregory continues to impress globally, with major press coverage secured with Billboard, Gay Times, Paper Magazine, Buzzfeed, Billboard and Bedford & Bowery the last of which writes of Gregory‘s sound as pulsing with a yearning to look backward. Gregory Dillon‘s energetic synth-driven production and sensitive vocals are perfect for engaging in escapism.

Searching to find home, Gregory Dillon wanders a suburban dystopia that resembles both a familiar nightmare and distant daydream in this debut EP. Narrated from dawn to dusk, Dillon‘s album yearns to re-explore the complex landscape that both shaped and saddened his adolescents. This nuanced realization of a stereo-typed, American Dream is a Sad Magic best reflected in solitude.

“It isn’t enough for this album to just be euphoric or mysterious; I also hope to relay something very ordinary, very familiar, and very nostalgic”,says Gregory.

Gregory Dillon understands sad pop euphoria. He was primed for it in his suburban boyhood by secretly singing Phantom of The Opera in his basement and skidding asphalt alone on his green Razor scooter. In an attempt to find confidence in adulthood, Gregory moved to Brooklyn where he began constructing a pop fantasy that re-explores the confusing landscape that shaped his youth. Gregory has the unique position of being a classically trained performer (his first instrument being the piano). Using these musical sensibilities, he can be found anywhere from sound tracking a ballet, to writing your next favourite sad bop.

November 12, 2020 Band Liss release dance pop anthem ‘Leave Me On The Floor’

Band Liss release dance pop anthem ‘Leave Me On The Floor’

“I stay up like we used to watching old videos of every night that meant somethingbefore all the clubs were closed”Søren Holm, Liss

4-piece Danish band Liss are back with a propelling and visceral anthem for all the empty clubs around the world. Between the pulsating beat, heavy bass, enveloping synths, and the familiarity of Søren Holms vocals, ‘Leave Me On The Floor’ is a new turn for the band, while still encompassing all the qualities we love about Liss.

“I miss dancing with people, the contact and communication that arises, the constant back and forth. And I was thinking about how you can have your first meeting on a dancefloor but also your last goodbye. That’s the kind of dialogue we’re trying to put into our songs.”Søren Holm, lead singer, Liss
