Following Seeking Thrills recent nomination for the Hyundai Mercury Music Prize, Georgia is pleased to announce the release of a special new version of her track “Feel It”, reworked by Toddla T and featuring additional vocals from the multi-talented Atlanta-based rapper Yung Baby Tate.

The original track was written with the intention to inspire a new generation of musicians to get up and play, something which has been magnified with the new energy from Toddla T and Yung Baby Tate.

Georgia says of ‘Feel It’:

“It was wicked that Yung Baby Tate was up for putting her flavour on “Feel It”. She took it to the next level!”

Georgia will be performing live as part of BBC4’s special Hyundai Mercury Prize television coverage on Wednesday 23rd September. The winner will be announced the following Thursday 24th September on BBC One’s The One Show.

Georgia will be heading back out on the road in 2021 with a string of live dates across the UK and Europe.

Singer-songwriter Margot has shared her new single ‘Slow Down’ and it is sure to make you feel better if you suffering from a case of the blues, or a little stress. The single will feature on her debut EP release Make It Last, which is set to be released on the 9th of October.

POP Music adds, “Margot eases her listeners into her important message of self-love with gentle and lighthearted beats and vocals.”

The new single is intended to make you feel lighter, in Margot’s own words, “This song actually went through a long writing process. Frank Slimm and I started this one in April 2019 while I was still living in Berlin and it got shelved for months while we were working on other projects. When we dug it out again, I couldn’t believe we left it for so long! I drafted up a new set of lyrics and it all fell together in about two days. The song itself is about self-care and self-love, taking time out of the day to look after yourself and enjoy the little things, and to remind myself that the time I spend working on myself is just as important as the time I spend working on my career.”

With fragrant sounds and soaring vocals, Margot calms your world down for the next three minutes leaving the listener to hit the repeat function over and over again.

September 16, 2020 Catastrophe & Cure song ‘Another Wave’ is an ode to 90’s indie-rock

Catastrophe & Cure song ‘Another Wave’ is an ode to 90’s indie-rock

Indie band Catastrophe & Cure have shared their new single ‘Another Wave’ which features on their latest album Somewhere Down The Line. Their previous album release saw the band receive an Amadeus Austrian Music Award. Other noteworthy achievements of the band thus far include Indie Shuffle listing their track ‘On The Internet’ as one of the  Best Indie Rock Songs of 2017. The band also currently sits just under 1 million streams on Spotify

Catastrophe & Cure adds their thoughts on the new single, “’Another Wave’ was one of the first songs we recorded for our new album. It almost wrote itself. We had a couple of chords, the lead guitar and all of a sudden the song was finished. It’s a song about the ambivalence of love and about being at the mercy of one’s own emotions. “You’re my love / Yet my downfall / You’re my love / Still my pain”…. you get the idea!”

Catastrophe & Cure’s sound on this track is reminiscent of some of your favourite 90’s indie-rock anthems, feeling so familiar I would not see why this single would not feature at a club or on your playlist.

Upcoming Live Shows

22 October – Wien, Fluc + Fluc Wanne

27 October – Graz, Orpheum Graz

3+4 December – Steyr, Röda

19 December – Vöcklabruck, OKH Vöcklabruck

September 16, 2020 Dream pop artist Johan Kull release solo song ‘Dreams’

Dream pop artist Johan Kull release solo song ‘Dreams’

Johan Kull, 31, has been working as a musician and producing music for other artists, as well as being in multiple bands, for ten years. He has studied at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden.

Dreams, which is the first release from his solo project, came to be while studying at the Royal College of Music.

Johan is inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Finneas and Phoebe Bridgers, and describes his music as melodious och emotional alternative pop, with in uences from dream pop and shoegaze. His melancholic music is characterized by it’s dreamy soundscapes and layers of vocals.

The atmospheric sound of Dreams tells the tale of dreaming as the more tangible reality.

– The song deals with the false reality that dreams can create. When you build this utopian world in your head, how perfect that can be, and how equally horrifying it can be having that taken away when you wake up. But it’s also about the disappointment of expectations being squandered, when reality isn’t up to par with your dreams.

Johan is planning on releasing more singles later this year and an EP is scheduled for 2021.
