Composer Olovson shares indulgent ambient music video

Music producer Olovson indulges neo-classical fans and beyond with the feathery and simplistic track ‘Book Are Flying’ via 1136 Diamond. Today, the composer has shared the video for the track and let us just say it’s every minimalist aesthetic lover’s wildest dream. Directed by animator Gabriel Böhmer, the ‘Books Are Flying’ video plays around with black and white, depth perception and basic shapes to create an unreal visual experience for anyone who watches this work of perceptive art and craftsmanship.

The man behind Olovson is none other than music producer Jacob Olofsson, who forms part of the Grammy award-winning duo Jarami. The Olovson moniker was created as a break from Jacob’s mainstream reputation and we could not be more excited with this debut single. If you cannot get enough of this debut track, do not fret as Olovson is soon to reveal his debut album this October. ‘Books Are Flying’ is something out of the music producer’s depth and it certainly excites him without a doubt. He previously commented on socials: “Been working on some new music lately and thrilled to finally share this project with you all very very soon! ”

Adapting to a new pace in his music and career, Jacob is sure to pick up traction in the months to come with his solo album release. The Olovson project has already been seen support by the likes of BBC Radio 6‘s Nemone, who is currently standing in for Shaun Keaveny. We won’t sleep on this minimal track, as we have no doubts there will be more to follow soon and that it will be just as magical.

Indie pop band Oracle Sisters announce live show

Paris based trio Oracle Sisters announce their biggest UK headline show to date at The Old Blue Last, London on July 17th in partnership with So Young Magazine. Tickets are on-sale now via DICE.

The band also share the video for ‘I Don’t Wanna Move’, which premiered via Under The Radar and is lifted from their EP ‘Paris II’. The group also sat down with V Magazine, to talk exclusively about their upcoming debut album – of which the first single will be released this summer via NY indie-label 22Twenty. Oracle Sisters’ members hail from across Europe and the UK , the band are uninhibited in their influences, finding inspiration within the art, cinema, philosophy, and music of the world over; resulting in a sound that is both sonically sophisticated and warmly familiar. Lyrically, they explore timeless narratives of love, mysticism and spirituality, scattered with intriguing insights into their own personal lives and experiences resulting in songs that are cryptic yet inviting. Now, having started recording in Greece, the band are finishing off their debut album in Paris, due for announcement soon.

Along the road, they’ve also played impromptu shows on the island of Hydra with friends from Fontaines D.C & The Murder Capital – capturing the troubadour spirit of the band. Electronic pop duo Polo & Pan share lighthearted music video

Parisian eclectic pop dance duo Polo & Pan release their first new song of the year titled ‘Ani Kuni’ with a lighthearted animated video. Having amassed nearly half a billion worldwide streams, the new track comes 10 months after the release of their four-track Feel Good EP which was called “a dose of exploratory sunshine.” ‘Ani Kuni’ is a bright, head-nodding dance track that acts as a tribute to a timeless, globally appreciated children’s song and is the perfect start to 2021’s forthcoming summer season.

“’Ani Kuni’ is a playful dance track for children big and small. It’s a tribute to our favourite childhood lullaby, a timeless Native-American song that has touched generation after generation, all around the world,” say Polo & Pan of the song.

The animated video was inspired by children’s shows like Sesame Street with a dash of Yellow Submarine. The video’s artistic direction was led by Noemi Ferst & Benjamin Moreau, who have worked with the band since day one, creating their entire visual universe. The animation for ‘Ani Kuni’ was created with the help of Paris’ Werlen Meyer Studios, who also worked on Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs. Combined, the song and video turn the band’s personal favourite lullaby into an irresistible, hope-filled, 70’s bopping trip for all ages that is sure to put you in your happy place.

With just one full-length album (2017’s Caravelle) to their name, Polo & Pan have become synonymous with trippy dance tracks that carry equally dreamy melodies. The duo, consisting of Paul Armand-Delille (Polo) and Alexandre Grynszpan (Pan), first met in 2012 and have since been creating fans around the globe performing to sold-out crowds at notable venues like LA’s Novo, London’s Printworks, NY’s Terminal 5, and Montreal’s MTELUS. They’ve played numerous festival stages such as 2019’s Coachella, where Billboard called their performance “without a doubt one of the best performances.”

“Ani Kuni” is just a tip of their hand for what’s to come from the band that Le Monde taps as “Daft Punk’s successors.”

Mattia Cupelli’s ‘MONOLITH’ music video captures the imagination

From a decaying city rises a great ‘MONOLITH’, created in a bygone era and carrying reminiscence of a past civilization. As the sweeping green moss and grass covers the surrounding area, we’re left to wonder – is this the past, the future, or the current time in an alternative reality?

Mattia Cupelli explores the world of time and its impression on humanity in his upcoming album RUINS, slated for release on the 9th of July via MC Records. ‘MONOLITH’ is the first glimpse of the LP, standing boldly and leading listeners in a new direction, away from Mattia Cupelli’s previous sound. Traditionally associated with film scores and lighter, more delicate music, this single marks a turn towards a darker, more experimental sound.

Mattia Cupelli tells his fans about the creation of the video: “When I contacted the video maker for the video, we wanted to recreate the sensation of Time passing and at the same time standing. We took some classical art statues from the past and made them move through shadows, as an endless infinite evolution.”
