MOGAN personifies internal struggle in artistic video for song ‘Hireth’

Cardiff musician MOGAN has shared their video for their second single ‘Hireth’, the single features on their EP Gutter, which released on the 24th of April 2020. The mix and mastering of ‘Hireth’ were done by Cardiff conductor Minas (Hana2k, Luke RV and Dead Method). So far, MOGAN has recieved support from Music Week and God Is In The TV Zine, and broadcasted on  Walya’s Act Normal show for Noods Radio and Razorblade the Tape.

MOGAN has a love for exploring the underground music scene and supporting other artists linked to their sound. They have cited avant-garde acts like Bjork, Liars, Peaches, Dirty Beaches and  Broadcast as highly influential to their artistry. The ‘Hireth’ video was filmed by Patrick Bethell, who assisted MOGAN in capturing the character’s  internal struggle and mental state, and the implications of your internal battle clashing with what the external world expects from you.

MOGAN adds their thoughts “The video for Hireth explores the parallels between passion and aggression of the male form. I’d initially wanted to remain off-screen for the video, but Jesus had other ideas and sent floods to Wales meaning our actors couldn’t make it. Luckily Patrick Bethell is a good friend of mine so didn’t mind getting close and personal! Some might say it was my plan all along…”

British Producer and DJ Braxton releases a new EP “Clockwork”

2019 marked the beginning of a new journey for Braxton and as 2020 hits full speed, the British Producer and DJ returns with his debut Colorize EP, “Clockwork”.

The EP, consisting of the tracks ‘Clockwork’, ‘Serac’ and ‘Yoruba’, is an in-depth exploration of house music. Braxton’s unique sonic identity merges prog and deep house sounds effortless, delicately achieving a balance that will draw you in with an ever-evolving groove across the three tracks.

Braxton’s label-debut on Anjunadeep (‘When The Sun Goes Down’), his official remix of Dezza’s ‘Juniper’ and his addition to the Anjunadeep Vol. 11 compilation (‘Chiaroscuro’) earlier this year has resonated with old fans and new listeners, as well as catching the attention of fellow industry tastemakers such as Pete Tong, Danny Howard and MistaJam.

Braxton is no stranger to the club circuit with performances at The Nest, Fabric and The Arch matched by plays from Cristoph, Yotto, John Monkman and Lane 8, whilst past remixes for GRADES, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Tourist lead him on his new path to a deeper sound.

The producer is also about to embark on his own project, ‘#uppermoments’. The project will allow fans to contribute to his next music video as they take footage of themselves enjoying one of his tracks. As he tells us on his website, ‘The only guideline is to choose from these two main themes only: city or nature landscapes’.

He’s received praise from publications such as Billboard, Vice, COMPLEX, YourEDM, Clash Mag, POP Music, Paper Mag, Earmilk and Magnetic Mag, all favourably receiving his work. Listen to his latest track and share your thoughts on ‘Inner Peace’ with us.

The French independent producer Behdad Nejatbakhshe, better known as UPPERMOST, lists Bon Iver, Floating Points, Tycho, Lane 8, and Crazy P as influences but also cites elements of traditional Persian music as inspiration. Each composition is intended to birth positive emotions to his listeners. He created Uppwind Records to share the music free of industry restraints. He birthed the label hoping to give independent artists a playground to express their visions with the idea of never separating art from the truth that gave it life. His latest offering remains true to this desire.
