Catalan trio MOURN share a new video for their track, “Gather, Really” from their new album, Self Worth out now via Captured Tracks.
On “Gather, Really” they sing with an unflinching urgency and vital courage that becomes a magical, chemical act, once again proving that music as an outburst is part of MOURN‘s nature.
The Alex Fernández directed video takes on the aesthetic of a jazzy espionage show set in the 60s, a black and white clip shot in the hills of their hometowns just outside of Barcelona that revolves around an unwelcome mystery concealed in a briefcase.
The band further explain, “Gather, Really describes the feeling of being connected with your mates through sharing experiences, discussing the world and having the feeling of community while having some drinks. Letting everything that anguishes you go and enjoying the company of your chosen family. Coming to conclusions all together, dealing with problems and healing while talking. We wanted for the music video to represent that gathering but this time we acted as thieves from an old black and white movie.”

Belau is one of the most promising electronica newcomers around the European music scene. In three years, they had almost 200 live performances in 23 countries. The duo had many international successes. In the last years they played almost 200 shows in 23 countries and impressed audiences at renowned festivals like Primavera, Eurosonic, Electric Castle, Sziget, SXSW – to name just a few. Belau was supported by radios like BBC Radio 1 or KEXP and mediums like Clash Music, Billboard, The Line of Best Fit, or Ones to Watch. Their first album won the Hungarian Grammy Award, Belau reached one million streams with earlier releases.
Colourwave which got many great reviews, feedbacks, keeps providing shelter for the modern human through music, where listeners can sink to themselves and their thoughts. “Risk It All” is a song of the possibility. One of our favourite track from the new album. Before the release in February we shot a video for it around some breathtaking European sights. In April of 2021 we would like to release the Deluxe version of Colourwave with some remixes, live sessions, reimagined versions, and a new song. The first tune from it is the night version of Risk It All, which is more mystic, minimal, and darker than the original” – said Belau about the new releases featured the fresh The Ivors Academy Rising Star nominee, Amahala.

Wax Tailor, a producer known for his astonishing music videos, has released his latest creation. ‘Misery (ft. Rosemary Standley)’, released today via Lab’oratoire, is taken from his upcoming album The Shadow Of Their Suns, which will be released on the 8th of January 2021. The music video for ‘Misery (ft. Rosemary Standley)’ was already collecting noteworthy awards before its official release, with several other awards pending announcement.
Born and based in France, near Paris, Wax Tailor has sold nearly half a million physical copies. In turn, his music has put him in league with major industry names across the globe.
Driven by its crisp electronic percussion, ‘Night Summer Waiting’ recalls the majestic dream-pop masterworks of Still Corners or Chromatics. The song was written earlier in 2020, at a small Italian hilltop town under the fading Summer sun.
“Watching the world with restless eyes… keep up, don’t fall behind” sings Teresa Woischiski, lyrics defiant with notions of escapism, yet tinted with a world-wary melancholy. “Night Summer Waiting, what you keep within, you can do without”, she lulls, her crystalline vocal rising through layers of dreamy atmospheric synthesisers and elegiac piano motifs.
The Ghost of Helags are singer-songwriter and producer duo Teresa Woischiski and John Alexander Ericson. Hailing from Sweden and now located in Berlin, the pairing combine the dream pop sounds of their Scandinavian roots with the electronic nuances inspired by their newfound home and beyond. ‘Night Summer Waiting’ is the latest in a string of innovative and exploratory tracks by the duo and follows recent 2020 singles including the Chemical Brothers-inspired ‘Parallel’ and the seductive Lynchian-inspired synth-pop of recent single ‘Chemistry’. Other highlights of their continually expanding repertoire include the New Music Friday playlisted debut single ‘I Carry Your Heart’, ‘Autobahn Lullaby’ (a tribute to their Berlin home) and 2019’s hymnal ‘The Santa Rosa Song’.
