It is official. Singer-songwriter Land Of Trees has released his fourth LP titled Things I Don’t Know.. Yet. On the project, we discover the sombre yet hopeful record ‘Giving You My Notice’, a hearty mix of harmonies to soothe the soul. “‘Things I Don’t Know.. Yet’ is a step back to basics.” he shared, describing how he aimed to create music for music’s sake. And he has delivered, keeping things sonically cohesive, nothing overly complicated.

Land Of Trees’ music touches on the folky side of Indie music. Straying from the usual formula, he imbues his sound with the voice of a man raised in nature. There is a certain earthiness to his sound. He creates music grounded in his roots, elaborating on the stories from his life to give listeners a vacation from the office desk, where they can drift with the mist in the mountains. UK-based singer-songwriter Marti West is back with another single, which he has named ‘Somebody New’. The track is the second one he has released in 2023, and, for Marti, the year is still young. He has informed us that he will be releasing a new album on the 28th of April, where listeners will find the already shared song ‘Nobody Knows Me (Like You)’ as well as his latest offering.

Stream ‘Somebody New’ on SpotifyiTunes

The track brings to mind a coming-of-age feeling. There is an angsty mood to the whole deal. Like a spotlight, lively drums light up the performance. A steady texture of guitar strum moves listeners towards the song’s brassy climax. That is, a brass section jives to the rhythm of Marti’s heart, giving us something to move to.

The first time Ezra Veda started creating music was during her high school period. In the school band, it became clear that she had a beautiful voice. Soon the first proposals came from the music industry to write songs and specially to sign with them. The then-teenager let it all happen resignedly. “I’d better finish my studies first and then I’ll see what else comes my way,” was her answer.

A few years later, the time has come. The now 22-year-old releases her first single ‘A Brand New Day’. A beautiful pop song in which Ezra’s voice is perfectly at home.

The single opens small and subdued and grabs you from the start and then slowly opens and guides you to an apotheosis to return to a sensitive outro. Before you know it, you’re at the end of the song and you think, hold on wait a minute, and you’ll listen to it again.

March 3, 2023 Florian Picasso’s new song ‘What’s The Next Move’ is mischievous

House producer Florian Picasso has plotted to release a new single and delivered on his promise with his latest record ‘What’s The Next Move’, which has been signed with the new label imprint La Californie Musique, presumably named after the late Pablo Picasso’s home in France, a residence by the name of Villa La Californie. But how does this relate to Florian, you might ask? Well, as his surname suggests, he is the artist’s great-grandson, so it is only fitting that he continues the legacy of the Picasso name.

His new record misbehaves. A disembodied voice urges us not ‘get caught’. Like a conversation between two troublemakers, the vocals call to a well-meaning but rule-breaking part that exists in all of us. And to bolster this naughty quality, the producer draws out tense builds with alarming energy before dive-bombing into a pool of crisp hats that float on a shimmering surface of the higher frequency ranges.
