Snowk’s ‘Under The Moon ft. J.Lamotta Suzume’ has just been released via Namy& Records and Warner Japan. The single will dance its way into your heart with Tel Aviv-born, Berlin-based singer J.Lamotta Suzume‘s powerful vocals standing out.

Stream / Download ‘Under The Moon ft. J.Lamotta Suzume’

Speaking of the single, J.Lamotta Suzume tells us, “Last summer, I found myself working mainly on projects with people from Japan, and the collaboration with Snowk was one of them. When I first heard his beat, my feet started tapping on the floor. I started singing some ideas over it, and everything came together. The lyrics came relatively quickly, the melodies were flowing out, and I was dancing. It’s easy to collaborate with such freedom. Snowk and I never met in person, but we managed to get things done from far away and with mutual trust.”

The duo could be considered “Kitsuné protégé” as they have had several releases with the label, contributing to their tidy count of over 2 million plays across streaming platforms.

November 4, 2020 Listen to ‘The Best Part’ of the year with Cadet Carter’s latest song

Listen to ‘The Best Part’ of the year with Cadet Carter’s latest song

Pause and consider “The Best Part” of the year with Cadet Carter and their newly premiered single. Due for release on the 13th of November via 8 Ohm Records, ‘The Best Part’ displays the indie-rock quartet’s talent for looking on the bright side of life.

Speaking of the single, Cadet Carter tells us: “The world is full of pessimists, especially since the start of the pandemic. And I’ll admit, I‘m a pessimist myself pretty much most of the time. But right now, nobody seems to keep the light on at the end of the tunnel, no one seems to be willing to fly the flag of optimism. So we decided to write a song about not losing hope and staying positive, just for a change. That is how ‘The Best Part’ came about.”

A step away from songs such as ‘King Of Pain’ and ‘A Bad Few Weeks’, we’re pretty happy with the positive direction the band is going in and we believe the rest of the world will be too? Tell your local radio stations about them today to make sure everyone gets a bit of sunshine in their life.

September 30, 2020 Indie pop musician Team Solo shares debut song ‘It Only Makes Me Love you More’

Indie pop musician Team Solo shares debut song ‘It Only Makes Me Love you More’

Introducing: Team Solo, a collaborative solo project from Hackney based recording artist Scuta Salamanca (previously of The Dallas Guild and also Social Skills). First inspired by a minimalist Hip Hop / R&B approach after finding a broken ’80s drum machine (EMU SP12), he melds Indie, Pop, and Ska influences with a colourful aesthetic to create a sound that’s truly unique.

Debut single It Only Makes Me Love You More is the first taste of Team Solos percussive, energetic and driving left-of-centre pop. The track is a light-hearted play on feeling under the thumb in a relationship, Scuta says, adding I’m trapped in love – but perhaps I like it that way. “

Recorded in Scuta’s old, ramshackle studio in a factory in North London” the track features his studio neighbour Nick Crofts (Heart Years, The Title Sequence) on piano and also Alex Reeves (Elbow, Dizzee Rascal) on Percussion.

Prone to trying everything, as a solo artist making tracks in his studio in Hackney, the musical mantra of Team Solo is: minimalism. The songs need to be simple enough so he could pack a bag at a moments notice and perform anywhere in the world. Not wanting to just make a solo project, he invites a guest to perform on each song during the process of recording. Some of them he knows, and others he has never met or even spoken to, often allowing the guests artist to do whatever they want which gives a greater colour to each track whilst still remaining distinctly Team Solo.

Team Solo is a wholly unique proposition, which is only set to grow after the release of their debut single.
