Music producer Clarian marks first ever NFT music auction for synth-pop album

Visionary artist Clarian announced the first NFT Music Album Auction ever, ahead of Kings of Leon, via The Golden Spoon on peer-to-peer marketplace OpenSea, March 4th, 2021. Issuing a challenge to the control that streaming giants such as Spotify have established, Clarian is betting he will sell his aptly titled new album Whale Shark for nothing less than 100 thousand dollars in Ethereum. On the album, listeners will find the noteworthy single ‘Strange Vibrations’. Up for auction is the one and only authentic copy of the album with the publishing rights included as an NFT. The auction ends March 20, 2021, at 4 AM GMT with the Electronic Music Community and Culture (EMC^2) room, on the Clubhouse messaging app, hosting the final album auction countdown.

The exchange of this artifact sends a powerful message and empowers a music industry in need of technological liberation. This is the first of its kind as a purchase of a music content on Blockchain, adding a deeper value of significance and responsibility to the bearer. NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are a new type of digital asset. Recorded on a secure digital ledger known as “Blockchain” each NFT represents a unique collector’s item that can’t be duplicated and, therefore, extremely rare. Decentralized Blockchain and NFT technology will lead the way to a much needed music and art revolution and it’s already starting to happen. Clarian believes that the sale of this NFT can empower an entire generation by restoring life and freedom back to the music industry.

Over the years, Clarian has been featured and acclaimed in places such as Rolling Stone, Sonar Festival, The Guardian, CLASH Magazine, BBC Radio, for his unique electronic surrealism, and has worked in the shadows as an engineer and songwriter for underground heroes and Grammy nominated artists alike.

Whale Shark is a collection of dark, woozy, synth-pop tracks underpinned by solid songwriting. Each track offers a unique adventure into the cool, subaquatic world of Whale Shark accompanied by surreal vocals that bubble to the surface of the enchanting experimental production.

Singer Lu Wright share soulful pop song, ‘What I Like’

‘What I like’ delivers sophisticated, soulful pop, which lyrically revels in the power of change. Distorted spacey keys are broken with the snap of a snare drum, as Lu’s rich alluring vocal melts into the atmosphere to create something gorgeous, luminous, and weightless.

Lu said about the single “What I like is about finding the strength to break free from an unhappy relationship. I came to the sudden realisation that it was purely down to me to change my situation. Often, it’s only after breaking out of a toxic relationship, that we look back and realise how we moulded ourselves into tiny comfortable spaces just to fit in and cope. ‘What I Like’ takes us through the daunting yet exciting prospect of starting again and building a better, stronger and more genuine you.“

Lu’s breathy, jazzy tones rest beautifully between soul and R&B. The artist grew up in a home filled with music, listening to everything from the classic soul/jazz maestros of the ’50s and ’60s, like Nina Simone and Sam Cooke, to noughties Hip hop, RnB and soul outfits such as Outkast, Eminem, Rihanna and Amy Winehouse, this is where her love for songwriting and melody truly began. Since then, her contemporary influences have aligned with the times, citing Little Simz, Anderson Paak, Maverick Sabre and the Blue Note Re: imagined album as huge sources of inspiration.

The young artist recently graduated from the London branch of the BIMM Institute (British and Irish Modern Music Institute) and set to work on her debut EP ‘Notes to self’. Her debut single was supported online by the likes of Clash, Earmilk and Headliner Magazine to name but a few.

Lu Wright’s ‘Notes To Self’ EP is a body of work that radiates warmth and a magnetic energy, woven together in a narrative that tells of the vulnerability and the solitary venture of self-discovery as a young woman. The 2020 pandemic hit just before the EP was completed and live dates were cancelled, but Lu used that time productively to complete the finishing touches remotely and concentrate on her songwriting. The result is a collection of musically detailed, immaculately produced treats.

Pop-punk band Everything We’re Not uplift with their latest anthem

Indiana based quartet Everything We’re Not is a band with a simple mission statement – to play music that they love. Luckily, they are also playing music that we think YOU will love – a compelling mix of emo, pop-punk and alternative rock brimming with musicality and clever, witty lyrics. Pulling from influences like The Maine, Blink 182, The Wonder Years and Jimmy Eat World, the band is clearly able to write music that evokes the best of the genre, while still sounding exactly like themselves.

“Let It Go” features legendary Say Anything vocalist Max Bemis and is an absolute earworm of a song. Upbeat guitar riffs permeate the track, with a driving performance from the rhythm section that keeps the song hurtling forward without going off the rails. Bemis lends his usual magic to the track, but Everything We’re Not lead vocalist Jonathan Newton is no slouch – his high flying vocal performance is the star of this track, with a crystal clear voice and impressive range that makes him one of the brightest up and coming storytellers in pop-punk.

Pop singer Aaron Sibley share indie infused song ‘Blame Game’

Aaron Sibley has just released his new single ‘Blame Game’. Recorded exclusively in Aaron’s home studio, ‘Blame Game’ was another of Aaron’s passion projects throughout the lockdown periods of 2020 and 2021.

Just 24-years-old, Aaron has made a mark on the London music scene already. In 2017, Aaron was a Pride’s Got Talent finalist, performing on the main stage of Pride in London in Trafalgar Square. His indie-pop music (think Billie Eilish meets Sam Smith) has been played across the UK and Europe. His 2018 song ‘Once upon a Time’ reached Moldova’s Eurovision National Finals and his song ‘Wildfire’ participated in the same National Selection in 2020. In 2019 he released a 6 song EP titled ‘Holiday Love’ and he continues to release exciting new singles.
