Quirky indie-pop singer Dude Low shares ‘Bottle’ music video

French indie-pop artist Dude Low released his jazz-inspired single “Bottle”. The new single sharply contrasts the artist’s previous release, “Amnesia,” which heavily leaned into synth-pop elements. However, a steady trait throughout Dude Low’s music is an undeniable softness of the chords and an incredible sense of depth through jazz influences.

“Bottle” touches on his infatuation with parties – which commonly include bottles of liquor – that brought him into a delusional lifestyle. Dude Low talks about the addictiveness of partying, “Why paradise is always a mirage,” he sings. “Once you taste it, you’re stuck in it.” The song calls attention to how drinking, partying or doing drugs create illusions for people searching for a vice. Like in many of his songs, Dude Low effortlessly merges serious discussions with wildly interesting soundscapes.

Dude Low, the modern proletarian, is back for 10 tracks with rich sounds that explore his wandering Egotrip. From his headquarters (Rennes), he calls for a journey after a year of solitary therapy, far from his tribe: humans. Neither too political nor too fatalistic, Dude Low spits on what annoys him without claiming to know the solution. Through beats that rub up against hip hop, the artist wants to be uncompromising by creating his own artisanal mix ready to swing his left hook in the unbearable gloom of routine, or by enhancing it with a melancholic caress. Who said romance was dead? Not Dude Low. Life is like a Wes Anderson movie, it all depends on how you perceive it. Gathering momentum from a run of shows in France, Dude Low has wrapped up recording sessions in anticipation of his upcoming album Ego Trip on Fogwood Records due to be released April 2022.

Keys N Krates share music video for album title track ‘Original Classic’

Keys N Krates are here to lead us down a dark road of juvenile rebellion and temptation ranging from underage drinking and driving to “scientific” experimentation. Yet, with bright, irresistible colours and an even better beat, the video for ‘Original Classics’ lends humour at all the right points and, despite everything, we find ourselves rooting for all the wrong people. But then again, Bird Peterson seems to have that effect with his work.

WATCH:

The single, ‘Original Classics’ is the title track of Keys N Krates recently released album via Last Gang Records which has gained repute around the world. In support of the album, Keys N Krates are currently out on their 20-date headlining US Original Classic Tour, with their next stop in Minneapolis at the Skyway Theatre.

“We knew that we wanted to bring out the fun aspect of this song and accentuate how everyone involved is a character in their own right. We linked up with Bird Peterson, who’s an incredible animator. On the first call with Bird we thought the process was going to be really collaborative and that we were going to have all these great ideas to feed him to do his thing with. Instead, he basically said, “this is the treatment” and proceeded to describe this whole 60’s style cereal commercial world he had created in his head that involved Juicy J leading children (us) into mischief. After dying of laughter, we all just said “ya go do that,” and this is what came out. We’re very happy to have found Bird and his insane talents.”

What we do know if that it will be carefully crafted yet infused with chilled vibes from the get-go.

Speaking of the video, Julie Reynaud tells us: “When minutes seems to be hours in an endless night, what about going out for a nocturnal walk in the city of light celebrating being alive? I think this what is about this music video: turning loneliness from burden to blessing”.

The US-based trio have returned once more to round out the end of the year with one last release: a carefully handcrafted music video for their melancholic single, ‘Lo-Fi Girl’. The video was animated by Shubhranshu and Shephali at the Entangled Studio in India and calls to mind bygone eras and timeless love stories. KARMACODA’s latest video has already received support from Clout Magazine and Raw Entertainment with rustles in the air as more publications become lost in the video.

Brett of KARMACODA share his thoughts on the video for ‘Lo-Fi Girl’: “We reached out to Shubhranshu and Shephali at Entangled Studio because their artistic vision for the music video fit perfectly with the somber, even sad, emotions conveyed in the song.  We’re thrilled by the results.”
