Innovative avant-garde singer Fifi Rong shares clever take on love unreciprocated

Multi-talented musician and innovator Fifi Rong has delighted once again with the latest song ‘Dream On’, which is set to feature on her upcoming solo album release There Is A Funeral In My Heart For Every Man I Loved later this year. The singer has been making her name known as a forward-thinking individual after the launch of her Yi Jing 意境 Live Performance Series , which is a virtual immersive platform for artists and art lovers to connect and get exposure.

Rong previously featured on RCRD LBL with the ‘Another Me’ video along with a feature on Phuture Life with the ‘Only Man’ video. Both works are noticeably different in comparison to production stylings and are probably due to the fact that Fifi is always keen to change things up for the sake of getting her poignant messages across for each song’s contrasting message – a true artist indeed.

Innovative and visceral with her approach to her craft, Rong proves to be an act to watch in the months to come with her latest platform initiative and creating music that leaves one pondering on their choices when it comes to being rational and being in love with someone. ‘Dream On’ is a clever take on unrequited love, as Rong shares foresight on a love that has not had the opportunity to be acknowledged.

Avant-pop singer Fifi Rong releases goddess-like music video

Haunting, lingering, and angelic vocals make avant-garde musician Fifi Rong the ideal candidate for electronic music collaborations of any kind. Though quite established in the public eye, the singer-songwriter has always remained passionate about the underground electronic scene in the UK. The singer has unveiled her latest music video for her single ‘Another Me’ and let’s just say it is a sight to behold.

Suggesting reference to Botecelli’s iconic painting The Birth Of Venus, the radiant goddess being Fifi Rong is tastefully nude whilst performing the vocals of ‘Another Me’ throughout the duration of the video. The singer is surrounded by a mesmerizing graphically enhanced ethereal landscape that compliments Rong’s delicate & feminine tone with this release.

The ‘Another Me’ video builds on the message of not letting a bad break up ruin your sense of self-worth. Another important theme Fifi focuses on is staying in a toxic relationship in order to feel a sense of belonging. Composer Vincenzo Ramaglia & Laura Le Pruenec collaborate on avant-garde album

IDM composer, Vincenzo Ramaglia is known for his unconventional style and he brings more of it in his latest album La parole. The album was released on 14 February 2020 via PEM Records and features the celestial vocals of the vocally gifted, Laure Le Prunenec. The album was realized via an alternative set-up, which involved no influence from computer generated soundscapes.

Vincenzo receives his inspiration from talents like Autechre, Björk, Arvo Pärt and Radiohead for his avant-garde style. Laura Le Prunenec adds her own mark on the tracks with her haunting vocal range. She has vocal similarities to that of Elizabeth Frazer by creating melodies before the word is sung to completion. Laura has received attention from various projects, a noteworthy collaboration would be her involvement with world-acclaimed French band Igorrr. La parole is an equal collaboration for both Vincenzo and Laura to shine in their own light. Vincenzo creates an unsettling soundscape, that Laura compliments with her echoing melodies and soprano range.

“It offers an alternation of hypnotic atmospheres and broken rhythms, somewhere between composition and improvisation, with Laure Le Prunenec’s voice that has long gone straight to everyone’s heart, around the world, with its thousand shades: from the whisper to the scream, from the ‘growl’ of metal ancestry to the lyric and from the bass to the falsetto and to the highest range. The style of the album is at the crossroads between IDM electronic avant-garde (in the mood of Warp and Raster-Noton artists), ‘real-time breakcore’ (with an analog electronic setup strictly without a computer) and experimental pop.
