JORI SJÖROOS celebrates underground Latin American dancehall movement in new song

Music producer  JORI SJÖROOS has unleashed his latest masterpiece, song titled ‘GOTH PERREO’ with critically acclaimed songstress Chisu, and let us just say that it has the ingredients of a charming nightmare.

Stream/download “GOTH PERREO” on Spotify & Apple Music

DoofDoof shares, “Filled with distorted electronic beats and melodic and angelic vocals from songstress Chisu, ‘GOTH PERREO’ feels like a beautifully haunting dance between darkness and light.

JORI SJÖROOS speaks about the song’s concept, “I was jamming with a reggaeton beat and wanted to push it as dark as possible. I had this image of 2 people twerking each other in a dark club built in a church made of stone. I needed some classic vibes for the song so I requested opera vocals from my wife who’s an artist and an extraordinary singer. I’m inspired by the freaky Latin American underground reggaeton/dancehall movement called “Neo Perreo”, and as a fan, I wanted to do my own “Perreo” which became “GOTH PERREO”.”

JORI SJÖROOS adds balance with Chisu’s soothing vocals, but JORI SJÖROOS still manages to shine with beautiful chaos throughout the track.

September 11, 2020 Music producer Ka Fu releases anticipated song ‘The Hope Is Open’

Music producer Ka Fu releases anticipated song ‘The Hope Is Open’

It is official release day for global nomad and music producer Ka Fu, who has just dropped a new single, ‘The Hope Is Open’. This new offering adds to the anticipation of the music producer’s upcoming album Heretic (October 2020), his second album release to date.

Wave Music share, “‘The Hope Is Open’ feels like a light wave that is crashing over you at the same time, Ka Fu’s music is like dynamite waiting to explode.”

Ka Fu adds his thoughts, “This track is about the neverending path of finding your own home. Everyone was born somewhere and that is our physical home but still, our soul is always in search of the place to be connected with. My experience is that it’s all about my internal world and not the pictures around it. For instance, if I’m ready to open my heart to everyone I meet on my way, accepting people as they are without any fears, means that my home is open and it’s everywhere I go. I tried to compose the track as deeply as possible with big bass lines that then are overflowed with another bass elements – all to create the floating feeling of calmness and inspiration at the same time, like in my life – I’m always interested in what comes next.”

2. Red Coffee

Song ‘Dhaulagiri’ by Afro-Beat and experimental duo Trrmà wows us

If you did not think that the experimental duo Trrmà could not become more experimental, prepare to be blown away with the track ‘Dhaulagirl’. It will alter expectations of what this duo can offer their listeners, they have opened a new dimension into their artistry. Dhaulagiri’ falls off of their upcoming album The Earth’s Relief out on the 1st of May 2020 via 557 Records.

Phuture Life previously commented on the track: “Trrmà’s previous single ‘Shishanpangma’ has a completely different feel to the new single ‘Dhaulagiri’, which takes a polyrhythmic turn, as well as adding a far-out and sporadic beat.” Sound Lab  adds, “‘Dhaulagiri’ pleasantly surprises Trrmà fans, it starts with presenting a facade of a progressing beat, that is abruptly deconstructed by electronic textures, the listener is teased with moments of a melodic beat throughout the track.”

Pre-order The Earth’s Relief

Trrmà take the time to describe the track to their fans, “‘Dhaulagiri’ combines afro-jazz percussion elements with abstract electronics that remind spacey 90’ scratch DJ works. An unconventional  form of broken beat composition.”
